Jan-20, 2006
Dear all,

With the new year just starting and the first major regatta just around the corner, I thought time was appropriate to remind you that we carefully maintain the Web site of our association up-to-date so you can access relevant information you are looking for at anytime for your convenience.

NYC will be hosting the first Laser Nationals this coming weekend. Let's hope weather will cooperate so we will have a great regatta and a lot of fun.

Speaking about fun, your fleet representatives and Robert Dunkley (thank you all for your work!) put together a busy but very attractive calendar for 2006. Have a look at it and let's go sailing!

The historical Miami/Nassau Race Week will take place in a few weeks from now on Feb-11-14. The Ocean race will start off Miami Government Cut on Saturday Feb-11 at 0900 and end... who knows, on Sunday hopefully for most of the crews. On Tuesday Feb-14 two buoy races are on the schedules. I bet this will be a great show and again a lot of fun.

Your Management Committee and Council members are also working hard on several exciting projects. Hiring a coach, developing an Olympic Sailing Center, getting funding from ISAF for some of our juniors to participate to international events and more. We will make sure to keep you posted as how these projects are going on by sharing information on the Web site and via email.

As always, your feedback is appreciated, your cooperation too! Please email contact@bahamassailing.org should you wish to communicate something to your fellow members or should you wish to help with race committee work in the future.

Thank you for reading and see you soon.

All the best,

Thierry
on behalf of BSA
