Private Lessons

The RNSC and Peter Marchant will be offering Private Lessons/Classes. Please check availability and make arrangements with Peter.

Organized Club Activities - RNSC/NYC

Week Starting:

June 26 - FAY REGAN - "LITTLE SALTS" Program at the RNSC

June 27/July 4 - RNSC/NYC Optimist Sailing CAMP at the NYC

Separate RNSC / NYC Club Activities

The activities at this point will switch gears and split up. Starting July 12th, the NYC will have a two week Sunfish Program (2 weeks), but will continue a beginner "Green Fleet" Optimist Program (6 weeks). Sign-up with Donna @ NYC. The RNSC will start an Advanced "Red, White and Blue" Optimist Program for 6 weeks.
The Program at the RNSC will be designed to accept all advanced sailors, as well as 5 graduating "green fleet" sailors every two weeks (or weekly if necessary).

July 25/Aug 2 - Optimists - NYC

Aug 13-14 - 1st RNSC/NYC Summer Program Championships - Montagu Bay

More details on the weekly activities will be forthcoming. At the advanced level clinics held at the RNSC, the focus will remain on the kids having fun and learning the basics of competitive sailing.

1st Bahamas Optimist Nationals

The 1st Bahamas Optimist Nationals will be held on September 24 and 25. We will use the regatta on August 13th and 14th as a warm up for this event. Our goal is to have 50 boats!

On behalf of our Junior Laser sailors we would like to thank all of you who attended the fund raiser held at RNSC on Friday. The funds raised go towards assisting them participate in the ISAF Youth World Championships in South Korea in July and CORK (Canadian Olympic Regatta Kingston) in Kingston, Ontario Canada in August. Thanks to all of you our event was a great success The funds we targeted were raised and everyone appeared to have had a great time. The buzz during the evening was "The steaks are THE BEST". It was obvious everyone enjoyed their dinner thanks to the very kind donation by Robert Pritchard and Asa H. Pritchard (who donated the steaks and chicken) and a superb BBQ'ing job by the Chaplins and the Phillips. Liquor was donated by Bristol Group of Companies and the soft drinks as well as condiments were donated by Bahamas Wholesale Agencies Ltd. Also, we owe a big thank you our DJ Billy and RNSC staff along with the many supporters who donated raffle prizes, these being:
