This championship was very entertaining.
A competitive regatta with three protests resulting in two disqualifications to keep the

| Team racing - Snipe (by Alyson Myers) The echos of rules and protests
were that could be heard over the waters of Montagu bay in the past two Thursday nights.
The cause of this chaos on the water was a thing called "Team Racing." The usual
Snipe crowd was divided into two teams with John Watson Galloway and Dwayne Wallas as
team captains. This was a new experience for the majority of the participants. As a first
timer, I found the races enhanced my understanding of the rules and that it is possible
for these people to sail as a team. Instead of checking to make sure no one was overtaking
you constantly, you checked to see if your teammates needed help. Thus, I
found team racing a more fun way to learn the rules rather than sailing one on one.
It was also more fun in general than sailing one on one.
